It’s a lazy Spring afternoon, with the students not in the optimum frame of mind for a Mathematics lesson. We decided to play with our new lego set and see how we could use it to show Mathematical understanding.
These are some of the things the students came up with:
I wonder where you got that idea from… Can I please borrow your lego tomorrow?

I also loved that each student did something different with the lego to represent their understanding of Maths. Addition, Square numbers, graphs, etc etc.

I showed them some Pinterest pages and had them Google Lego maths. They were amazed at how simple it was. Good transfer.
